Appy Hour 2

Our teachers are a fountain of knowledge here at White Plains Elementary School!  Just look at the fun our teachers are having learning and collaborating as we make technology and BYOD an integral part of instruction.  During Appy Hour this week, teachers learned about several apps/websites that many teachers have been incorporating in their classroom or through BYOD lessons.  Teachers shared apps they have found useful in meeting student needs.  Thank you teachers for sharing and collaborating together so that our students are 21st century learners!

Power UP! WPES

This video can help you as you implement Power Up in your classroom by explaining the expectations for our students, the devices they can bring as well as helping students learn how to use their devices appropriately in your classroom.  Thank you to the students in fourth grade who helped with our video!

Making the Connection

Students are learning how to connect their devices to participate in teacher guided activities.  Students are using a variety of devices, including iPod Touches, Nintendo DSis, Nooks, tablets, laptops and iPads.  Just take a peek at one fourth grade class...
